C\u2019est dans le bassin de la Sambre qu\u2019on a construit en 1837 les premiers hauts-fourneaux, ancrant d\u00e9finitivement ce territoire dans l\u2019histoire du monde ouvrier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M\u00eame si la crise de la sid\u00e9rurgie a vid\u00e9 nombre d\u2019usines de ses salari\u00e9s, m\u00eame si aujourd\u2019hui des friches remplacent le plus souvent ces immenses usines qui \u00e9taient si impressionnantes avec leurs hauts murs de briques noircis, le souvenir de ce pass\u00e9 industrieux est de nature \u00e0 raviver les liens entre les habitants du Bassin de la Sambre. Qui n\u2019a pas un p\u00e8re, une m\u00e8re, un grand-p\u00e8re, une grand-m\u00e8re, un oncle, une tante qui n\u2019aient appartenu \u00e0 cette extraordinaire aventure du fer et de l\u2019acier qui a d\u00e9sormais tout sa place dans nos livres d\u2019histoire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un nouvel avenir est \u00e0 inventer dans ce XXI<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle qui d\u00e9bute. Prenons n\u00e9anmoins la peine de nous souvenir d\u2019un temps que les moins de vingt ans ont le devoir de connaitre.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a title=\"Histoire\"
